Hello! Welcome to another article.

Today we are going to dive a little into the world of social networks. Or to the TikTok platform. I believe that for many of us this app is one big guilty pleasure. I personally spend most of my free time on it (but of course I try to work on it!). Anyway, we don't have to see this platform only as a big time waster. If we follow accounts about something we are interested in, we can often learn a lot of useful information there. And today I will introduce you to a few fashion bloggers who are mainly active on TikTok and can give you a great deal of inspiration.

Madeleine is therefore one of the bigger personalities on TikTok, as she boasts 4 million followers. Of course, her content is mainly based on #grwm (get ready with me) videos, styling of various pieces and overall lifestyle in the world of high fashion. She herself is a model and ambassador of several brands, for example Dior.

I would also like to include Kozhin among the bigger influencers from TikTok. Her style is more for streetwear, but if you prefer to wear dresses or skirts, you will definitely find something for her. For example, he works with the SKIMS brand owned by Kim Kardashian.

I personally have been following Suede for an incredibly long time. I've always enjoyed her videos a lot, I feel an incredibly good vibe from her and her style is (at least for me) just cute. We have a new year here and with it also a lot of resolutions and plans. I don't know about you, but the coming of the New Year gives me the need to completely change my life, create new habits and get rid of the negative ones. Overall, have some huge glow up that will make everyone sit on their asses. One of my favorite steps is the total refresh of our wardrobe. It is not for nothing that they say that "the clothes make the man". I personally run this activity several times a year, because I'm still kind of looking for my style. However, I see the new year as a great opportunity to introduce the term CAPSULE WARDROBE to you in today's article.

What does Capsule Wardrobe really mean?

There are many translations of this name, so I don't like to translate this term. If someone still can't imagine anything under this term, I would use the term "minimalist wardrobe".

According to Susie Faux, who is the representative of this term, a wardrobe should contain around 35 pieces that can be combined as desired. Accessories and shoes also fall under this number.

What are the advantages of such a wardrobe? Above all, it should make our lives easier overall. We don't have to waste time every day thinking about what to wear and what actually goes with each other. And since this minimalist wardrobe should only contain pieces that are timeless and of good quality, it can also save us a lot of money.

Where to start?

Perhaps my favorite part is the big cleanup. I prefer to simply throw all my clothes out of the closet and start sorting. It is very important that we take a piece by piece and think about whether we wear it, whether it fits us well and whether we feel good in it.

Here we break it down into three situations:
~ Favorite: I wear it regularly, versatile/I feel good in it = KEEP IT
~ Special: I can't wear it every day, but if there is a situation or occasion (wedding, celebration, holiday...) for which the piece is intended, I'd love to wear it
= WE LET
~ Unnecessary: It doesn't fit me, I don't feel good in it, or it's just not my style anymore = THROW OUT

This part of the process will probably be lengthy, but it's really important that each piece is thought through properly and individually.

Friendly tip: For this, you can listen to your favorite podcast and make a great cup of coffee or tea. Trust me, it will be a nice time spent with yourself as a result.

When we have sorted all the clothes like this, we can rush to the next part. But first, let's talk about the "throw away" pile. Of course, we will not throw these clothes in the trash. We have two options: Sell or donate. Nowadays, there are a lot of platforms where we can offer our clothes and then sell them for a set amount, or we donate them where there is a need (homeless people, children in orphanages, single mothers or families in need). Here we just have to be careful to know that the clothes really reach the needy and it's not a scam, because nowadays people are able to make money on really anything.

So what should such a wardrobe properly contain?

Two basic rules:

1. We reach for neutral colors (white, black, gray, beige, khaki)
2. Quality materials (cotton, cashmere, linen, silk) that guarantee the longevity of our clothes

Basic cotton T-shirts

White, gray or black. Perhaps each of us owns one such T-shirt at home. Let's look at the quality, origin of the material itself and production conditions. One of the most versatile pieces that suits us for any occasion.

Tank top

The most used item mainly in the summer, but it will certainly come in handy in colder seasons, for example under a sweater or shirt.

Shirt

We no longer only wear a shirt to the office, but also to the beach. Cotton is the basis, but linen will also serve us well on warmer days.

Jumper

We probably can't do without it in the winter. Here, however, we are really not afraid to pay extra. I have experience that sweaters from unnamed fashion chains for a few hundred start to pill after a while.

Jacket/Blazer

We will probably use it again in any winter season, on any occasion. It is entirely up to us whether we choose checkered or plain. But let's still not forget about universal colors - white, black, gray, beige.

Sweatshirt

Whether we choose a crewneck or one with a hood, in either case we will never regret having this piece in our closet. We can really combine with anything (we showed a few cases in the previous article; this winter's must-haves).

Jacket and coat

Whether unlined or lined, it's good to have one of each. For example, a puffer jacket for cozy winter days, or a recently very popular trench coat for romantic walks around the city. A high-quality coat can last for several years in the same condition.

A-line, strapless, knitted and with long sleeves. The selection is really big, so everyone is guaranteed to find what they like!

Jeans

There is nothing better than quality jeans that fit us perfectly, do not pull us down anywhere and we feel great in them. It would simply be a sin not to have them on this list.

We have a cold winter season here (a big favorite of mine) where LAYERS play a major role. Let's take a look together at what we absolutely cannot miss in our wardrobe this year. Anyway, definitely don't forget about sustainability. Don't buy clothes that wear out quickly and that you won't wear. In this way, you will make it easier on our planet and also on your closet.

Puffer jacket

Last year's hit, which we can't do without this year either. We're not going to lie, oversize jackets just look good and styling is not complicated at all. You can't go wrong with a cool tracksuit (of course, preferably with Virulent :-)), classy trousers with pucks, or a longer knee-length sweater. Don't be afraid to go for other colors this winter, for example beige, green or brown.

(Friendly reminder: put the frills aside and think about your kidneys and health. No one wants to see a jacket that ends at hip level. Go for the longer options, it definitely looks better and you won't have to worry about going to bed with a urethritis. Sounds like a win won't it?)

New this year, which ties in with the previous tip; A coat that is similar in material and design to a jacket. So I already own one myself and it's a total bomb for me. Again, it looks good in any color and unlike a puffer jacket, it really flatters every figure.

An incredibly timeless piece that is suitable not only for the winter season, but also for the arrival of spring or autumn. Don't be afraid to invest a little here, because believe me, a quality coat is worth every year, regardless of the current trends. Again, it goes with absolutely everything, whether you work in the office and dress formally, or when you run out in tracksuits for a trip to the store, or for a simple walk.

Then you won't be standing in front of the wardrobe and have nothing to wear. Such basic pieces for occasions that none of us miss from time to time. The same dress, the same sweatshirt, the same top... two different people, one suits and fits the so-called "like a pot ass", the other doesn't at all or it's not the same. Why? The colors are to blame! Not only the colors of clothing, but above all the colors of our skin. The skin is composed of several shades (even if it doesn't seem so at first glance). The skin of each of us hides green, blue or even pink. And it is the undertone of our skin, together with the color of our hair and eyes, that determines how certain colors, color combinations and shades of colors suit us or vice versa. Find out your color typology and you won't make a mistake when choosing the colors you wear.

Spring type

Light skin, blonde or light hair, blue or green eyes. This is what a typical spring type looks like.

Summer type

The summer type has the most widespread definition. This includes brown or blond hair, brown, green and blue eyes. The skin can be light to olive. A clear sign that you are the summer type is the fact that you sunbathe well and nicely. The colors pink and blue suit you. Stay away from flashy shades, they don't flatter the summer type. Neutral colors such as cream, white, beige are a certainty. Yellow will also suit you. Olive skin and skin with a warm undertone, dark or light brown hair also go well with "problem" orange, which just doesn't suit some people.

Oversize is a comfortable cut, but it requires the right styling to look good. Sometimes it can lend an unflattering silhouette and that is undesirable. In this article, we will focus on how to dress oversized to flatter the figure. Oversized things are extremely comfortable.

Cool sweatshirt (Virulent has a lot of them! :)) and jeans. Complete with sneakers, a waist bag and it's done! For example, a comfortable oversized outfit that suits everyone can look like this. It is important to choose correctly. We have prepared some tips for you below.

Everything in moderation 

Whatever oversized piece you wear, follow the rule that too much of anything is harmful. But it doesn't mean that you can't wear wide trousers and a slightly oversized sweatshirt. However, always consider your body type.

The basis is the correct cut and size

Correct cut and well-chosen size is the absolute basis of success! Choose oversize clothing in your usual size, sometimes a size smaller (depending on the circumstances). When choosing, focus on how the clothes fit you. Most manufacturers list the dimensions of their clothing by size. This is the best indicator to judge whether the selected size will fit you. Also think about whether you prefer a looser cut or, on the contrary, so-called body-fitting things.

When you try it on yourself :

1) for the upper part of the garment, focus on how it fits over your shoulders, whether the armholes fit (how the top fits over the breasts and chest) and the length of the sleeves. Also the overall length and how the top, sweatshirt or jacket fits your body overall - in short, whether it suits you.

2) for the lower part of the garment, observe the length and width of the legs, the height of the seat, how the pants or sweatpants fit over the hips and at the waist. All this will affect the overall appearance of the outfit.

5 tips for stylish oversize outfits

An immortal and stylish combination. Cool, comfortable, for all ages, for women and men. It looks great just like that, with a sweater, a turtleneck, a coat...for any weather. The color is up to you.
